(L.A.) Duane Flores, 65, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 65-year-old Black male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Duane Flores.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Acute and Chronic Alcohol Use Disorder

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 10:05 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on January 12, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.

Acute Alcohol Use Disorder refers to the sudden onset or exacerbation of alcohol-related problems. It can manifest as a severe episode of alcohol abuse or a rapid worsening of chronic alcohol-use symptoms.
