Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 35-year-old Black male that occurred at a private residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Desmond Murrell.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine and Phencyclidine

RIP DESMOND MURRELL (January 23, 1989 – March 8, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 11:46 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on May 21, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.
