Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 26-year-old Black male that occurred in a hotel.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Desmond Ford.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Methamphetamine Intoxication

RIP DESMOND FORD (June 18, 1997 – October 18, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 11:56 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on December 5, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the meth. This is considered an accidental drug overdose.
