Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 33-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Derek Valencia.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Sequelae of Acute Ibuprofen Toxicity

RIP DEREK VALENCIA (September 6, 1991 – February 12, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 7:50 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling in early May.
