Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 26-year-old Black male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Deante Johnson.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Acute Bronchopneumonia

Cause of Death B: Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus Infection

RIP DEANTE JOHNSON (August 17, 1998 – March 12, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 10:40 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on April 15.
