(L.A.) David Ybarra, 66, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 66-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as David Ybarra.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Atherosclerotic and Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Effects of Methamphetamine and End-Stage Renal Disease

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 12, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
