(L.A.) Darrell Young, 33, Died From Polydrug Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 33-year-old male that occurred in a park.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Darrell Young and listed his race/ethnicity as Latino [sic].

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Acute Intoxication by the Combined Effects of Fentanyl, Heroin, Methamphetamine, and Phencyclidine

RIP DARRELL YOUNG (September 22, 1991 – January 12, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 11:15 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on March 23, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
