Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 43-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at a residence.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Daniel Engle.
Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death: Effects of Alprazolam, Fentanyl, Lorazepam, and Methamphetamine

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 3:37 a.m.
Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in early July.
Drug deaths are frequently classified as accidents under the assumption that the users didn’t intend to kill themselves.
Lorazepam, sold under the brand name Ativan among others, is a benzodiazepine medication. It is used to treat anxiety disorders, trouble sleeping, severe agitation, active seizures including status epilepticus, alcohol withdrawal, and chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting. It is also used during surgery to interfere with memory formation and to sedate those who are being mechanically ventilated.
