The coroner’s office identified the man as Daniel Arce.

Cause of Death A: History of Heart Failure
Cause of Death B: Coronary Artery Disease
Other Significant Conditions: Idiopathic Epilepsy, History of Chronic Drug Abuse

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 7:29 a.m.
The government investigator had initially stated the decedent had died in a jail hospital. According to LASD, however, he was found lifeless inside his cell at Men’s Central Jail.
