(L.A.) Dalanie Chavez, 6, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a six-year-old Hispanic female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the child as Dalanie Chavez.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Acute Streptococcal Pneumonia due to Adenovirus, Human Rhinovirus/Enterovirus and Respiratory Syncytial Virus Infection

RIP DALANIE CHAVEZ (April 14, 2018 – February 5, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 2:29 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on May 23.

Acute streptococcal pneumonia is rarely seen today.
