(L.A.) Dajee Carter, 25, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 25-year-old Black male that occurred on a sidewalk in Venice, California.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Dajee Carter of the state of Nevada.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Covid-19

Other Significant Condition: Adenovirus Infection

RIP DAJEE K CARTER (March 2, 1998 – August 9, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 10:06 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on November 7, presumably after the results of the tox panel cambe back negative for drugs while the nasal swab came back positive for SARS-COV-2.

The pathologist who categorized this as a COVID death is Dr. Sami Souccar.

 

 
The decedent was found lifeless in the Washignton Square area, in front of a vacant restuarant next to Bay Market on Washington Boulevard, just east of the Venice Pierr parking lot.

The southern end of Venice is home to the 1,300 foot Venice Pier and an upscale area known to locals as Washington Square.
