Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 53-year-old Caucasian male that occurred at a residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Curtis Simonson.

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl

Other Significant Conditions: Medical History of Diabetes Mellitus, Bedridden, and Bowel Necrosis with Surgical Resection

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 3:52 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on October 3, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drug.
