(L.A.) Cristina David, 46, Died in a Vehicle

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 46-year-old Asian female that occurred in Winnetka.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Cristina David of West Hills.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt Trauma

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 1:40 p.m.

The decedent was driving a Tesla westbound on Saticoy Street when her car was hit by a white SUV that was southbound on Mason Avenue. The SUV driver, who was involved in a brief police chase that began after a report of an auto theft, ran a red light before colliding with the Tesla.

Three other people were injured in what turned out to be four-vehicle crash.

Kevin Joseph Larrea was arrested Sunday in Pacoima. The 42-year-old stolen vehicle suspect was in a brief police pursuit that ended in the fatal collision. He was booked for murder and is being held without bail.
