College Swimmer Lily Ernst Dies Unexpectedly
The 4.0 student who represented University of Northern Iowa passed away on Wednesday.

Lily Ernst was not only a competitive swimmer, she also made it to the Dean’s list every semester and was known for her volunteer work.

As a freshman at UNI, Ernst earned 1st-team all-Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) honors with a 2nd-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly.

At Iowa City West, Ernst qualfied for the state meet in multiple events all four years of high school.
