(L.A.) Cody McLaury, 33, Died From Drugs

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 33-year-old Caucasian male that occurred at his residence.
The coroner’s office identified the man as Cody McLaury.
Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death: Acute Ketamine, Heroin, Methamphetamine, and Cocaine Toxicity

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 10:10 a.m.
This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
In August 2024, several people were arrested in connection with the October 2023 death of actor Matthew Perry. One of them was the so-called “Ketamine Queen of North Hollywood” Jasveen Sangha. The indictment stated that Sangha ‘knew that the unsupervised and improper use of ketamine can be deadly’ and in 2019, she allegedly sold the drug to another customer Cody McLaury, who died of a drug overdose.
After a family member of McLaury’s sent Sangha a text message saying that her ketamine had killed McLaury, Sangha conducted a Google search for ‘can ketamine be listed as a cause of death[?]’
