(L.A.) Clifton Gore Jr., 74, Died on the 405 Freeway

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 74-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred on the Santa Monica (405) Freeway near Culver City.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Clifton Gore Jr.

Cause of Death: Traumatic Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 2:25 a.m.

The decedent was fatally injured, alongside a woman, in a fiery, two-vehicle crash.

California Highway Patrol had responded at 2:13 a.m. to the northbound freeway and National Boulevard.

A Toyota Prius and a commercial truck had collided, causing the Prius and the truck to burst into flames.
