(L.A.) Claudia Barrera-Rocha, 47, Died on the Pomona Freeway

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 47-year-old Hispanic female that occurred on the 60 Freeway.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Claudia Barrera-Rocha.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Head Trauma

RIP CLAUDIA BELEN BARRERA VAZQUEZ (August 26, 1976 – August 11, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 8:56 p.m.

The decedent was fatally injured in a crash on the I-60 in Montebello.

CHP said the incident happened at 8:27 p.m. on the eastbound Pomona Freeway just west of the Garfield Avenue off-ramp.

According to the GoFundMe, the decedent was in a car that was rear-ended by a motorcycle. The impact caused the car to lose control and spin into oncoming traffic, where it was struck by another vehicle. The second collision was so severe that she died immediately from the impact.

Her husband, son, and daughter, who were also in the car, were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
