(L.A.) Christopher Woods, 38, Died in a Correctional Facility

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 38-year-old Black male that occurred at a correctional facility.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Christopher Woods.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl

Other Significant Conditions: Coronary Artery Disease, Cardiomegaly, Morbid Obesity, and History of Hypertension, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, and Asthma

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
