(L.A.) Christian Esparza, 48, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 48-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Christian Esparza.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Toxic Effects of Methamphetamine and Heroin

Other Significant Condition: Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease

RIP CHRISTIAN MANUEL ESPARZA (September 4, 1976 – August 18, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on October 24, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
