RIP CHRISTIAN ROBERT BASHAM (September 12, 1967 – February 26, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 3:09 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on March 29, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back negative for substances.

The decedent was living in L.A. under the name Mark Clemens and working as a handyman. It turns out he had outstanding warrants for his arrest in Kitsap County in the state of Washington under the name Christian R. Basham. There, he was charged in 2009 with raping a boy in the summer of 2008, but skipped his next court appearance after posting $350,000 bail. He was presumed dead 15 years ago after jumping off the Tacoma Narrows Bridge — he had left behind a suicide note inside his car.
