Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 48-year-old Asian female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Chia Hui Chen.

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 10:00 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on June 25.

Carcinoma of Mullerian origin refers to a spectrum of malignancies that arise from tissues derived from the embryonic Mullerian ducts. These tissues include the epithelial linings of the fallopian tubes, uterus, cervix, and upper vagina, as well as the peritoneum. The term is most commonly used to describe high-grade serous carcinomas that can originate from the ovaries, fallopian tubes, or peritoneum.
