(L.A.) Chester Bennington, 41, Ended His Life

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 41-year-old Caucasian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Chester Bennington.

Born in Phoenix, Arizona.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Hanging

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 9:08 a.m.

The decedent an American singer and songwriter who was the lead vocalist of the rock band Linkin Park. He was also the lead vocalist of Grey Daze, Dead by Sunrise, and Stone Temple Pilots at various points.
