(L.A.) Chekesha Crosby, 48, Died From Meth

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 48-year-old Black female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Chekesha Crosby.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

Other Significant Conditions: Medical History of Asthma, Tobacco Smoking, Morbid Obesity, and Hypertension

RIP CHEKESHA CROSBY (January 27, 1976 – June 12, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 2:26 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 17, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drug.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, overdose.
