(L.A.) Cheenut Khim, 39, Died in Long Beach

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 39-year-old Asian male that occurred on a street.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Cheenut Khim.

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Traumatic Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday morning.

The decedent may have been of Cambodian descent.

He was crossing Pacific Coast Highway at Hayes Avenue when he was hit by a 2023 Ford F150, driven by a 40-year-old resident of Wilmington, traveling eastbound. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
