(L.A.) Charles Williams Jr., 70, Died on the 405

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 70-year-old Black male that occurred on the 405 Freeway.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Charles Williams Jr.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Acute Cocaine Intoxication

RIP CHARLES WILLIAMS JR. (May 28, 1954 – March 30, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 12:26 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on May 28, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

California Highway Patrol said there was a traffic collision on Interstate 405 North at West Olympic Boulevard in Los Angeles at 12:16 p.m.
