(L.A.) Castelle Barnes, 55, Died From a Coke OD

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 55-year-old Black female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Castelle Barnes.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Atherosclerotic and Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Condition: Cocaine Use

RIP CASTELLE BARNES (April 13, 1969 – May 21, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 2:53 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on June 14, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the coke.

This is considered an accidental drug overdose.
