(L.A.) Carmelo Canada, 14, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 14-year-old Black male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the young teen as Carmelo Canada.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Diabetic Ketoacidosis

Other Significant Conditions: Obesity, Asthma, and Adenovirus and Human Rhinovirus/Enterovirus Infection

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 8:06 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on May 7.
