(L.A.) Carlos Paz, 59, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 59-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Carlos Paz.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Methamphetamine Intoxication

Other Significant Conditions: Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease, Obesity

RIP CARLOS PAZ (January 26, 1965 – July 24, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 9:15 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in November, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drug.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, overdose.
