(L.A.) Cameron Fish, 33, Died on a Street

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 33-year-old Caucasian male that occurred on a street in Temple City.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Cameron Fish. Born in L.A. County. Mother’s maiden name is Gonzales.

Cause of Death: Multiple Blunt Force Injuries

RIP CAMERON BLAINE FISH (July 19, 1988 – September 16, 2021)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 2:21 a.m.

The decedent was a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputy who say was driving a Shelby Cobra at a high rate of speed, lost control of the roadster and crashed.

The accident was reported at 2:10 a.m. on Santa Anita Avenue north of Freer Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.

His passenger, 28-year-old Diana Whang of Temecula, was hospitalized with moderate injuries to her head.

According to the CHP’s preliminary report, Fish was driving a 1965 Shelby Cobra 427 north on Santa Anita… “Due to (his) unsafe speed, he was unable to safely negotiate a curve in the roadway… The Cobra roadster veered to the left, off the road and onto a center median, striking a raised street sign and a light pole. The impact caused (him) to be ejected from his vehicle. … It is unknown if either of the occupants were wearing their seat belts or if alcohol and/or drugs are a factor in this crash.”
