Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 64-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at a residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Byat Schaer.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effect of Heroin, Methamphetamine, and Alprazolam

RIP BYAT SCHAER (May 24, 1959 – January 11, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 5:52 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on April 12, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.
