(L.A.) Burnell Nelson, 66, Died From Drug Use

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 66-year-old Black male that occurred in a park.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Burnell Nelson.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

Other Significant Condition: Recent Cocaine Use

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 8:39 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on September 19, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive from the lab.
