(L.A.) Bryan Diaz, 18, Died in Juvenile Hall

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of an 18-year-old Hispanic/Latino male that occurred in a juvenile hall in Sylmar.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Bryan Diaz.
Manner and cause of death have not yet been formally disclosed by the medical examiner; the information will be added to this page as soon as it becomes available.
RIP BRYAN DIAZ (April 25, 2005 – May 9, 2023)
The decedent was found unresponsive in his room Tuesday morning at Barry J. Nidorf Hall. He was then purportedly administered Narcan, a medication for overdoses, but was pronounced dead by 8:26 a.m.
Barry J. Nidorf serves as a temporary holding facility for juvenile detainees during their court proceedings. The 162-bed capacity facility has been operational since 1982 and sees about 2169 bookings annually.
