Bruce Willis Diagnosed with a Degenerative Brain Condition
In a statement on social media, the family of Bruce Willis announced Wednesday that he has been diagnosed with aphasia, a brain condition that affects his ability to understand language, and will therefore be stepping away from acting.
According to Hollywood insiders, the 67-year-old actor has been showing signs of neurological shortcomings for years, even needing an earpiece to be fed his lines.
The announcement implies, however, that his condition has recently deteriorated seriously enough for him to formally retire.
