(L.A.) Brian Overton, 65, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 65-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Brian Overton.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Multiple Drug Intoxication

Other Significant Conditions: Diabetes Mellitus and Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

RIP BRIAN OVERTON (July 14, 1959 – July 17, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 9:29 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in late November, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, overdose.
