Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 38-year-old Black male that occurred at a church.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Brandon Boyd.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Gunshot Wounds of Torso

RIP BRANDON BOYD (May 22, 1986 – November 19, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 5:52 p.m.

The decedent was killed by Long Beach Police Department officers near the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and 52nd Street.
