(L.A.) Benjamin Woolf, 34, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 34-year-old Caucasian male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Benjamin Woolf.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt Head Trauma

Other Significant Conditions: History of Stroke; Childhood Medulloblastoma (Treated)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 3:28 p.m.

The decedent was an actor who played the character Meep on American Horror Story: Freak Show. He was clipped in the head by the sideview mirror of an SUV as he was crossing a street. His injuries serious, he was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he succumbed after a week of hospitalization.

Woolf was diagnosed with pituitary dwarfism at an early age. He stood at 4 feet 4 inches as an adult. He was jaywalking when he was hit. The driver of the vehicle involved in the incident was not ticketed and remained at the scene of the accident.
