Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 57-year-old male that occurred in a hospital.
The coroner’s office identified the man as Behzad Attaie and listed his race/ethnicity as Middle Eastern or North African [sic].

Cause of Death: Coronary Artery Disease
Other Significant Condition: Dilated Cardiomyopathy

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday.
Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on October 1, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back negative for substances.
The decedent appears to have been of Persian / Iranian origin.
