The government investigator had initially given the decedent’s name as Baby Rodriguez Ochoa.

Funisitis is inflammation of the connective tissue of the umbilical cord that occurs with chorioamnionitis.

Chorioamnionitis is an infection of the amniotic fluid and tissue that surrounds the baby during pregnancy.
