(L.A.) Ashley Guzman, 18, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of an 18-year-old Hispanic female that occurred in a hospital.
The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Ashley Guzman.
Manner of Death: Homicide
Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Torso

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 7:15 p.m.
The decedent and her partner 21-year-old Carlos Loera were seated inside a vehicle in Harbor City when someone approached and fired several gunshots at them. Their year-old son was in a child safety seat in the back seat.
Paramedics took Guzman to a hospital, where she died,. Loera was pronounced dead at the scene. The baby is now with other family members.
