(L.A.) Arturo Atilano Valadez, 49, Ended His Life

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 49-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Arturo Atilano Valadez.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot to the Head

RIP ARTURO ATILANO VALADEZ (November 29, 1973 – November 7, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 6:20 a.m.

The decedent was a sheriff’s deputy, one of four LASD employees who committed suicide over a 24-hour period.

Note that his surname is spelled Valadez and not Valdez.
