(L.A.) Artashes Barsegyan, 41, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 41-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Artashes Barsegyan.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Gunshot Wounds

Formal pronouncement of death was made Sunday night.

The decedent was fatally injured as he was attempting to commit a robbery in Santa Monica.

A business owner, who was the target victim, shot at the suspect, who was taken to a hospital.

Santa Monica PD responded at around 9:30 p.m. to the 1300 block of Third Street Promenade.

* The decedent had a rap sheet that included being arrested in 2011 by LASD for burglary, forgery, theft, and drug-related offenses.
