Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 62-year-old Black male that occurred in a convalescent home.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Arnold Petty.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Congestive Heart Failure

Cause of Death B: Atherosclerotic and Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Condition: Chronic Kidney Disease

RIP ARNOLD PETTY (October 19, 1961 – August 23, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 11:30 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in mid-November.
