(L.A.) Arnell Conway Jr., 87, Died From Coke Use

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of an 87-year-old Black male that occurred in a recreational vehicle.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Arnell Conway Jr.
Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death: Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease
Other Significant Condition: Recent Cocaine Use

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 2:36 p.m.
Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on March 17. This was either a heart attack (myocardial infarction) or cardiac arrest. For statistical purposes, the government considers this an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
This may be the oldest case we have in the county of a death from cocaine abuse.
