RIP ARMOND YAGHOOBIAN (August 9, 1952 – February 12, 2025)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 8:35 p.m.
Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on April 28, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, polysubstance overdose.
The government investigator Amy Lizarraga had initially misspelled the decedent’s surname as Yaghoobina. It is possibly of Iranian / Persian origin.
She had also originally given the decedent’s race/ethnicity as Asian before later changing it to MENA.
