(L.A.) Antonio Gaines, 66, Died From Polydrug Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 66-year-old Black male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Antonio Gaines.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Arteriosclerotic and Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Atrial Fibrillation and Effects of Multiple Drugs

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 2:35 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in October, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs. This is considered an accidental overdose.
