Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 25-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Anthony Travis.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Sequelae of Gunshot Wound of the Torso

Other Significant Condition: Effects of Methamphetamine

RIP ANTHONY TRAVIS (May 5, 1997 – April 24, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 2:30 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 2, presumably after the results of tox screening came back.
