(L.A.) Anthony Gatti, 39, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 39-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Anthony Gatti.

Cause of Death: Fentanyl, Methamphetamine and Mitragynine Effects

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 9:00 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on March 19, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

Mitragynine is the most abundant active alkaloid in the Southeast Asian plant Mitragyna speciosa, commonly known as kratom.
