Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 53-year-old Latino male that occurred in an alley.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Anthony Fernandez.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wounds of Torso

RIP ANTHONY FERNANDEZ (July 9, 1970 – September 1, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 7:40 a.m.

The decedent was found wrapped in a plastic bag and blanket, already lifeless.

Incident location: 400 block of North Gaffey Street

No arrests have been made.
