(L.A.) Annie Wrate, 45, Died in a Riverbed

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 45-year-old Hispanic female that occurred in a riverbed.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Annie Wrate.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Traumatic Injuries

Other Significant Condition: Phencyclidine and Methamphetamine Effects

RIP ANNIE WRATE (November 10, 1979 – April 18, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 8:01 a.m.

The decedent’s body found in the Los Angeles River near Riverside Drive by the 5 Freeway.

She had a rap sheet that included shoplifiting, burglary and drug possession.
