Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 47-year-old Hispanic female that occurred in a hotel/motel.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Angelica Perez-Owen.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Upper Gastrointestinal Hemorrhage

Cause of Death B: Ruptured Esophageal Varices Complicating Hepatic Cirrhosis

Cause of Death C: Acute and Chronic Alcohol Use Disorder

Other Significant Condition: Obesity

RIP ANGELICA PEREZ-OWEN (August 29, 1977 – February 12, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 7:10 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling in early May.
